Free YouTube Giveaway & Comment Picker

Paste a YouTube video or Shorts link and pick a random winner from its comments. Free up to 250 comments, without signing in to Google.

Works with regular videos and Shorts

The Pick Is Right's YouTube giveaway picker collects comments from a public YouTube video or Short, removes the entries that break your rules, and draws random winners with a cryptographically secure shuffle. It's free for videos with up to 250 comments; larger videos are a one-time $2.99 and up. You never sign in with Google, and each person counts once by default (matched by their channel, so renaming doesn't create a second entry).

How to pick a YouTube comment winner

1

Paste the video link

Any public video or Short. We show the comment count and whether it's free before you start.

2

Set your rules

Require a keyword or @mentions, leave out replies and the creator, or count only comments you hearted.

3

Get your winners

Random winners plus backups, a shareable results page, a full audit of every comment, and a winner-reveal video.

What a YouTube comment picker can verify

YouTube shows some things about every comment and keeps others private. Here's exactly what we check.

RuleVerifiedHow
One entry per person✅Matched by channel ID, not display name
Required keyword or hashtag✅Any of your words, case-insensitive; emoji work too
@mention N people✅Counts unique @handles across a person's comments
Top-level comments only✅Replies can be left out or counted
Exclude the video's creator✅On by default
Only comments the creator hearted✅Heart the answers you want in the draw first
Minimum comment length or likes✅Filters "first!" and one-emoji spam
Posted in the last N days≈Approximate: YouTube only shows "3 weeks ago"
Subscribed to the channel❌Subscriptions are private by default
Liked the video❌YouTube has kept likes private since 2019

No comment picker can check subscriptions or likes, whatever it claims. Winners link to their channel so you can check them yourself before announcing.

YouTube Comment Picker FAQ

Yes. Any public video or Short with up to 250 comments is free, with no account and no credit card. Bigger videos use one-time pricing from $2.99 for up to 500 comments. You see the price before you pay.

No. Paste a public video link and we read the comments the same way anyone viewing the video can. We never ask for your Google password or YouTube permissions.

No, and no comment picker honestly can. YouTube keeps subscriptions private by default, so they can't be checked from comments. Each winner's name links to their channel so you can check before announcing.

No. YouTube has kept likes private since 2019, so no tool can see who liked a video. You can require a keyword, @mentions or a creator heart instead.

Yes. Paste a Shorts link the same way as a regular video.

Not from live chat: chat messages aren't comments. You can pick from the comments under a live stream or its replay by pasting the live video's link. Comment pickers, ours included, can't read community post comments, so run the giveaway on a video or Short.

YouTube's count includes replies, repeat comments from the same person, your own comments, and comments held for review or removed as spam. Held comments aren't public, so approve genuine ones in YouTube Studio before you draw. Your results page lists every comment we read and why each did or didn't count.

Not by default: only top-level comments count, which is what most giveaway rules mean. Turn on "Count replies as entries" to include them.

Every qualifying person gets one entry (or one per comment if you allow multiple entries), the pool is shuffled with a cryptographically secure random generator, and the first entries win. Each person can win only once. Backups are drawn at the same time.

Use a re-roll: it swaps in the next backup winner, who already met every rule. You get up to 3 re-rolls per giveaway.

YouTube has no private messages, so reply to the winning comment from your channel and pin a comment with the winner's @handle and a deadline to respond. Ask them to email you, and never ask a winner to pay or to message another account.

Not with a picker, because subscriptions are private by default. YouTube lets you restrict who can comment to subscribers and members, but that makes subscribing the price of entry, close to the rewards for subscribers that YouTube's spam policy warns about. We recommend comment to enter, with subscribing optional.

Heart the comments you want in the draw on YouTube, then turn on the hearted-only rule. Skip the Add hearts to all option in the YouTube Studio app's heart suggestions: it hearts every suggested comment, which would put them all in the draw.
